Sonic the Hedgehog PowerA Accessories Now Available, More Coming Soon

Get ready for Sonic Superstars.

SEGA and PowerA have officially announced that Sonic the Hedgehog-themed accessories are available now. These include Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch controllers and a protective case for the latter console.

Sonic the Hedgehog has had a very successful past few years. Sonic Frontiers and the recent live-action movies have all been very successful. Plus, with Sonic Superstars set to release this fall, there’s never been a better time to be a Sonic fan.

The initial product line of PowerA Sonic accessories will be available on August 8. These include the following items:

Akio Strasser, the Senior Global Marketing Director for PowerA, and Michael Cisneros, the Associate Director, revealed more information in an official press release:

“As big fans ourselves, the PowerA team is thrilled to partner with the team at SEGA to bring Sonic the Hedgehog and friends to our controllers and accessories,” said Strasser. “With more than 30 years of Sonic, and multiple generations of gamers experiencing this franchise, we are so excited to bring these characters to life on our accessories for the first time.”

“Sonic is one of the most recognizable video game characters of all time! We are excited to be partnering with Power A to bring this core line of gaming peripherals to fans around the world,” said Cisneros. “At home or on the go, we hope that these will be your go-to gaming accessories no matter what game you are playing (but if you open your heart, we all know Sonic is your jam).”

Expect to hear more information on SEGA and PowerA’s line of accessories, controllers, and more over the next few months. Lastly, the next Sonic game, Sonic Superstars, will release on October 20. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
